The Accounting tab

The dashboard is written for whoever reads the finished packet. Accounting is written for whoever prepares it, which is why the two are ordered differently.

• Month End opens on where this company stands: the month, whether QuickBooks is closed through it, whether the packet is a draft or finalized, how much is waiting, and who has been through the checklist. Under that are the action items and the checklist itself.
• Review is every line that moved, against budget and against last year. The board's copy of this table shows the biggest movers and folds the rest; here it opens whole.
• Form 990 is the Part IX worksheet, for a nonprofit's books.
• Setup holds the variance threshold and the account mapping.

Everything on these screens comes from the latest packet, so nothing here can disagree with what the board is given. Refresh the packet to run it all again.
