The dashboard

The dashboard is the same for everyone in the organization. Trends sit at the top, then metrics, the variance report and the rest.

• Trends: revenue, net income, workforce costs, cash, and ratios such as months of cash, operating margin, the current ratio and the debt ratio, against last year or budget. Switch between monthly and quarterly, and between each period and a running total.
• Metrics: cash, reserve, surplus and ratios, compared with budget, last year, both or neither.
• Variance report: actuals against budget, last year or both, with the lines past your threshold marked.
• By class, by location, largest customers and donors, and net assets, when your books have them.

Edit this view turns windows on or off and sets the comparisons. The choice is saved for the company.

The Budget menu above the packet chooses which budget it compares against. The Library, in the top navigation, holds every packet built.
